To ensure a positive experience for all families, we have established a set of guidelines that promote respect, safety, and enjoyment within our space. At Village Kin we believe in fostering a warm and inclusive environment. We ask that all guests treat one another with kindness and consideration, whether you’re playing, relaxing, or participating in our community events. Our polices are designed to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, ensuring that both, children and parents, feel comfortable and supported.
Policies & Expectations
Village Kin Policies:
Parents/guardians must supervise their children at all times in the lounge and play area to ensure safety. A signed waiver assuming responsibility is required before entering play area.
Parents/guardians must remain on site for the duration of their child(ren)’s visit unless they are signed up for a parent’s night out or drop off visit. Adult supervision is always required. We have play buddies that will be in and around the play area, but parents/guardians must remain within the shopping center while their child is in play space.
We do not provide refunds; however, we offer credits for future purchases/tickets if you are unable to keep a reservation.
Play area is for children 8 and under. Children over 8 years old are welcome to sit in the lounge areas with their parents/guardians. We have age-appropriate books, games, and activities in the pink nook.
Everyone must remove their shoes while in the play area and put shoes on when in the lounge areas. Socks are available for purchase.
Village Kin is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please keep an eye on your personal belongings. If you believe you left something, please reach out to the front desk and we will look in our lost and found.
Please do not bring children who are showing symptoms of an illness. If an adult or child has visible signs of illness, they will be asked to leave and return after 24 hours of being symptom free.
Children must be accompanied into restrooms by their parent/guardian. Restrooms are located next to the water fountain. The left one has a changing table and extra diapers. Diapers should only be changed on the changing table.
You are allowed to bring outside food, but we ask that it stay in the café/lounge areas. No food is permitted in the play space.
No smoking of cigarettes or e-cigarettes inside or outside the premises.
Due to limited space, we ask that you babywear as we do not have room for strollers in the space.
Village Kin reserves the right to ask you to leave if you or your children do not respect the rules we have in place.
If you see something, say something. If you notice any issues in the space or with other children please let staff know and we will address them.
Playroom Rules:
Adult supervision is always required. We have play buddies that will be in the space, but parents/guardians must remain within the shopping center while their child is in play space.
Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer before entering the play space.
No shoes in the playroom. Everyone must wear grippy socks. If you do not have any, they can be purchased at the front desk.
No food or drinks allowed in the play space.
No throwing of toys or any other items.
No climbing up the slide. Parents are welcome to climb the play structure and go down the slide with their children at their own risk.
No jumping off play structure.
No climbing on shelves.
No running, pushing, or rough play.
The slide should only be used one at a time and feet first ONLY.

Always use respectful language and tone with friends in the play space.
All toys should remain in their respective areas.
All markers/arts and craft supplies are to stay in the arts & crafts area. Please encourage your children to keep these supplies in their home.
Our space is Montessori-inspired so we’d love for you to encourage your child to put up their toys when they are done with them. Clean up one space before moving on to another.
Help us keep the playroom clean by cleaning up after your children. If your child puts a toy in their mouth, please place it in our yucky bucket.
